Gobhogobho Primary School was originally established in 1972 as Phelelani Junior Primary School. Named after the nearby Gobhogobho River, the school has grown in scope and size, expanding from a junior primary institution to include Grades 5 to 7 in 2014.
Our vision is to foster excellence in education by providing a supportive environment that emphasizes literacy, numeracy, life skills development, physical growth, and community engagement.
We primarily serve learners in Ntuzuma F to Ntuzuma B & C, as well as KwaMashu L & N Sections, proudly nurturing many leaders and professionals across diverse careers within these communities.
Admissions
Admission for the academic year 2026 opened in May 2025 and is available for all grades from Grade R to Grade 7.
Grade R learners eligible for admission should have been born in 2020 or 2021 before July.
To apply, parents or guardians should bring the following documents:
- School admission application form
- Copy of the child’s birth certificate
- Copies of parents’ or guardians’ IDs
- Road to Health clinic card
